Summary of Announcement: On June 18, 2024, DHS introduced actions to promote family unity, focusing on noncitizen spouses of U.S. citizens who have been in the U.S. for at least 10 years. Eligible individuals may apply for lawful permanent residence without leaving the U.S.

Application Start Date: USCIS will begin accepting applications on August 19, 2024. Applications submitted before this date will be rejected.
Eligibility Requirements:
Presence in the U.S. without admission or parole.
Continuous U.S. presence for at least 10 years as of June 17, 2024.
Legally valid marriage to a U.S. citizen as of June 17, 2024.
No disqualifying criminal history or national security/public safety threats.
Favorable exercise of discretion.
Noncitizen children of eligible requestors may also be considered if they meet specific criteria.
